Data Protection & General data protection regulation information (GDPR)

What is seen by and said to the FFRAP and Advocate team will remain strictly confidential. Nobody from outside of the FFRAP and Advocate team will be able to identify you from any comments you make to us. Third parties will not be able to access any information except as may be required by the law.

All information provided  will not be shared with anyone outside of the FFRAP and Advocate project and it will not be sold to any commercial organisations. When submitting any information to FFRAP, you explicitly consent for us to record and use the information you provide to us to assist you at court, send you an advice letter and store your information for a period of 6 years.

Some of the information you provide may fall under the definition of ‘special category personal information’ under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This can include race and ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, political opinions and data related to sexual orientation. The GDPR obliges us to ensure that we have your express permission (consent) to record your data and that we take appropriate care in handling and processing your information.

You can withdraw your consent at any time or contact us to request that we destroy your information. We must stress that we will not retain any records for any purpose other than to assist you during this hearing and to send you a one-off advice letter confirming the developments at court, unless you provide other express consent, i.e. for research purposes.

Should you have any queries regarding any of the above or wish to make a complaint, please contact us at info@ffrap.org

Please also note that more information, including how to involve the Information Commissioner by way of a complaint or otherwise, in any matter regarding your information, is available at: www.ico.org.uk
