Final Hearing
What happens at a Final Hearing?
The judge will make a final decision about what is to happen to your child(ren) – the judge will consider all of the available evidence and be guided by what is in the best interests of your child(ren) to reach a decision.
The judge will consider the ‘welfare principle and the welfare checklist’ to protect the best interests of your child(ren).
The judge will issue a Child Arrangements Order. The Child Arrangements Order will set out your child(ren)’s living arrangements and what type of contact the child(ren) will have with you or your ex-partner.
